Many of us are facing transition in our lives and these unknowns can lead to uncertainty and even worry. Like many families here in the United States, our family has gone through some transitional times this year too. We moved from one state to another, changed from one form of educating our children to another and among other changes, this past year has seemed more like a see-saw! Many families are wondering what our government has been doing this year and what will happen after November 2nd...again, more uncertainty! What can we do? PRAY! Check out PRAYER POINTS and agree with scripture to pray for our government leaders!
How should we cope or handle these changes? 2 Samuel 22:2-7 NKJV gives us the answer! And he said: "The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies." When the waves of death surrounded me, The floods of ungodliness made me afraid. The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry entered His ears.
In a year(s) of transition, let the above scripture strengthen and encourage each of us as we know and trust that our heavenly Father loves us, and as we will call upon Him who is worthy to be praised, knowing that all our concerns, cries and prayers are heard! We decree and prophesy that 2011 will be a year of peace and security no matter what we go through, as we know that we know, "The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer."
